Rosemary Lobes, 82, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away at Bethesda Hospital East on October 26, 2025. Born in Mt. Vernon, New York, she later attended Newton College of the Sacred Heart in Boston and received a master’s degree at Western Connecticut State University and taught for over 30 years in the Clarkstown County School System before retiring.
She travelled extensively. Rosemary enjoyed flying planes, skydiving, skiing and many adventurous sports. She was very active in community affairs. She hosted many events in her community as well as entertaining in her own home. Rosemary was loved by many for her kindness, generosity and supportiveness. She laughed easily and enjoyed people.
Rosemary is survived by her brother, Dr. Louis A. Lobes Jr., his wife Loretta of Pittsburgh, her sister, Elizabeth (Betsy) Lobes of Boynton Beach; Nieces: Loretta (Christopher) Benec, Christina Lobes, and Claire (Joseph) Hosteny and her grandnieces and grandnephews: Paul, Kathleen, Caroline & Ella Benec; Claire & Louisa Dorrell; Joseph & Lucas Hosteny. Her laughter and smile and love will be missed by all.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, 643 N.E. 4th Avenue, Boynton Beach, FL on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 11:00 am . Inurnment will be in New Rochelle, New York at a date to be determined.
