Rosemary Wizda passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 88 in Tampa, Florida, previously of Lady Lake, Florida. Born on May 15, 1937, in Freeland, Pennsylvania, Rosemary was a woman of unwavering faith and whose life was marked by her dedication to her family. She was the beloved wife of George Wizda for 66 years. Together they raised six children and traveled the world as a military family. Rosemary was a resilient, curious and adaptive person who provided her family with numerous interesting adventures. She embraced new hobbies and had a lifelong love of learning. She cherished her Polish heritage dancing polkas and making traditional classic Slovak dishes for holiday dinners. She was active in the community providing patient support at local hospitals. She had a fond heart for young children working as a preschool teacher for many years. In her retirement community, she served as floor representative decorating common spaces for holidays and sharing treats with friends and staff. She loved giving small surprises to those around her. Rosemary is survived by her husband, George Wizda, SMSgt, USAF, Ret. with whom she shared a devoted and enduring love. She was mother of Jerome Wizda, Col, USAF, Ret. (Susan), Teresa West (David), Karen Filippo (Perry), Roberta Diaz, George Wizda and Cheryl Wizda (James). Rosemary has 8 grandchildren: Christopher, Alyson, Jennifer, Cara, Timothy, Carsyn, Rebecca, Parker. She has two great grandchildren: Natalie and Anastasia. She is also survived by her sister, Bernadette Tomari of Hillsborough, New Jersey. Rosemary will be missed dearly and remembered always.
