Ross Grimes Obituary
Sumter, SC. Ross Andrew Grimes, age 60, beloved husband of 38 years to Teresa Jean Martin Grimes died on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born in Germany, he was the son of the late Cecil Eber Grimes and Maryann Todd Grimes. Ross served in the United States Air Force for over twenty-six years, when he retired as a MSGT. After retirement from the Air Force, he began working in the car industry as a service advisor at Nissan of Sumter. He shared with many of his family members a love for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ross was known to be a dependable family man. He loved his family and all of those that were close to him. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
In addition to his wife he is survived by; two daughters, Sabrina Grimes of Charlotte, NC, Jessica Atkinson(Leslie Atkinson) of Sumter, SC; two brothers, Paul Grimes (Ladonna Grimes, Crystal Wayner(Mike Wayner), Michele Grimes(Madison), Greg Grimes) of Hampton, Virginia, Eber Grimes (Heather Grimes, Paxton Grimes(Mikayla Reed, Asher Grimes), Paige Grimes) of East Liverpool, Ohio; Mother-in-law, Joan Martin; one granddaughter, Paizleigh Atkinson.
He is preceded in death by; his mother, Maryann Grimes; his father, Cecil Grimes; and his father-in-law, Daniel Martin.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.
The interment will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
