COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - With heavy hearts but a profound sense of love and gratitude we announce the passing of our beloved Rowan "Axl” Heady, who transitioned to the next chapter in his life on Monday, March 10th, 2025 at the tender age of 8 at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, in the loving arms of his parents and sister.
Axl brought an immeasurable amount of joy and love into everyone’s life. Axl touched countless lives and will be leaving behind a legacy full of bravery and strength. He waged an inspirational battle against brain cancer since birth, where he defied countless odds and continually amazed family, friends, and medical teams.
Axl is survived by his devoted parents - Andrew and Alexis Heady, sister- Anniston, fur baby Bear. Grandparents - Robert and Diana Verble, Dan and Phyllis Heady. In addition to Aunts and Uncles- Tony and Tennille Hawkins, Britt Akers, Andy and Kelly Verble, Jessica and Justin Dawes, Shannon and Jeff Johnson, Jordan and Kelley Hunter, Kris and John Bennett, Stephanie and Adam Ross, and Robbie Birdwell. So many beloved cousins and lots of friends.
We will cherish these precious memories we have with Axl and continue to share his testimony as we promised.
Funeral Services for Axl will be held Monday, March 17, 2025 at 4pm at Life Church in Cookeville with Pastor Chris Howard officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 2pm until time of services.
Interment will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
The family has asked that instead Flowers/ Plants, help the family’s burden of staggering medical bills & funeral expenses at GoFundme. In Memory of Axl or donate at First National Bank to Axl/Alexis Heady acct . We sincerely appreciate all the love and support.
