Pastor Roxana "Roxie" Reynolds Jochem
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Community Volunteer, Servant of Christ
Pastor Roxana "Roxie" Reynolds Jochem passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on September 14, 2025 at the age of 76. A devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, faithful friend, and tireless servant of Christ, Roxie leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and unwavering love.
Born in Salina, Kansas on August 31, 1949, Roxie dedicated her life to serving God and others. She earned her Bachelors of Theology Degree and also pursued studies at Draughons Business College, equipping her with both spiritual and practical tools to lead and serve.
As a Pastor, Roxie ministered to countless hearts, always with grace, wisdom, and a listening ear. She was a pillar in her church and community offering prayer, counsel, and comfort to all who came her way. Whether from the pulpit or through personal conversation, she spoke life into those around her.
Roxie was deeply involved in community service, volunteering with Life Choices, Grace Center of Hope, ALC Food Pantry, Operation Angel Tree, Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes, among other ministries. She believed that love in action was the most powerful sermon of all.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Pastor Jerome "Jerry" Jochem.
She is survived by her children - Molly (Tommy) Franklin, Crystal (Johnathan) Smith, and Faith (Luke) Hendrix.
She was known as Grammy, Meme, or Mimi by her Grandchildren - Andrew Franklin, Dylan (Alex) Sanders, Heather (Isaiah) Worch, Alexandra Smith, Jean (Joshua) Clack, Isaac Sanders, William Smith, Sommer Franklin, Chaney Smith, Dixie Smith, and Zach Jochem.
And one Great-Grandchild, Levi Worch.
As well as her sister Elizabeth May "Molly" Reynolds, and nieces, nephews, and great nephew, each of whom carry forward her legacy of faith, love, service and joy. Her family was the light of her life, and her home was always a place of welcome, warmth, and wisdom.
Roxie will be remembered for her kind heart, her powerful prayers, and her steadfast devotion to Christ. She ran her race with faith, fought the good fight, and has now received her heavenly crown.
A celebration of her life and ministry will be held on Friday, September 19 at Abundant Life Church at 5:30 pm. All are welcome to come honor her life and the light she shared with so many.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Life Choices Ministry.
