Roxana J. Marcotte, age 86, entered into rest on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the North Central Kansas Health Center, Concordia, Kansas.
She was born in Republic County, Kansas on January 25, 1939, to Milo and Matilda (Klabzuba) Benyshek.
She attended Agenda schools and loved playing softball.
On June 9, 1956, she married Laverne F. Marcotte in Clyde at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. To this union 5 children were born.
She is survived by her daughter, Annette VanNess, Traverse City, MI.; son, Steve Marcotte (Martha), DeSoto, KS.; 4 grandchildren, Nicole VanNess-Rockwell (John), Traverse City, MI.; Dallas VanNess (Brytani), Olathe, KS.; Brandon Marcotte (Leah), Olathe, KS.; Beth Marcotte, Chicago, Ill.; 5 great-grandchildren, Khloe and Tenley Marcotte, Yani Arnberger, and Frances and Benjamin Rockwell; her brother, Calvin Benyshek; her brother-in-law, Kenny Marcotte (Christine) Clyde, KS.; sister-in-law, Donna Pierce (Bob), Clyde, KS.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Laverne, her 3 sons, Laverne Eugene, Leland, and Scott Marcotte, parents Milo and Matilda, sisters Barbara and Ramona, her sister-in-law Jeanette, and her brother-in-law, Duane Marcotte.
Roxana worked at various jobs in Concordia, Abilene and Salina.
She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, of Clyde, and Catholic Daughters.
Roxana enjoyed playing cards and games weekly with her friends and being active at the Senior Center.
Most of all Roxana loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service being prayed at 6:00 p.m. all at the Chaput Mortuary in Clyde, Kansas. The family will receive friends after the Rosary service.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2026, at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyde, Kansas with Fr. Andrew Rockers officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Clyde, Kansas. Following the graveside service there will be a luncheon served back at the parish hall for family and friends.
