Roxann Johnson Obituary

Roxann was a lifelong resident of Oxford and the beloved wife of the Darrell Patterson. Roxann graduated from Oxford High School and Central Michigan University. She worked as an elementary school special education teacher since the age of 22. Roxann taught for more than 25 years at the Lapeer Community Schools. Her passion in life was her family, friends, and her joy in teaching those who needed special care to be their very best selves.
Roxann is preceded in death by her parents Beverly Johnson and James Johnson; her aunt Elsie Gawry, uncles Theodore Gawry and Thomas Lakenen.
Roxann is survived by her husband Darrell Patterson, brother Rodney Johnson (Jamie), niece and nephews Emily, Matthew (Sierra), Jack, and William Johnson, cousins Tedi Gawry Wells (Gustavo) and David Gawry (Kim), brother in law Rob Patterson (Janet), sisters in law Karen Akins (David), Vickie Segura (Stan), Dawn Andersen, and Hank. Roxann is also survived by many beloved relatives that were always close to her heart.
A memorial visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford, on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 3-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N. Lapeer Rd, Lake Orion, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 11 AM with visitation beginning at the church at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to "Lapeer Community Schools Scholarship Fund" for Roxann Johnson, 250 2nd Street, Lapeer, MI 48446.
