Cheryl Lee (Billgren) Sherman, 70, of Marlette, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at her home.
Cheryl was born on June 7, 1954, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Clair and Nora Ann (Dunn) Billgren. She attended Oxford High School and graduated in 1972. Shortly after, Cheryl met and married her late husband, Gerald Sherman. The newlyweds moved to Hubbard Lake, Michigan and later relocated to Rapid River, Michigan to live and raise their family. In her younger years, she enjoyed spending time outdoors and gardening her flowers. Cheryl loved baseball and was a big Detroit Tigers fan. She was a long-standing member of the Pleasantview Free Methodist Church and her faith was of utter importance to her. Cheryl was all about her family and she delighted in spending time with her kids and grandkids. She had a big heart and was great at keeping in contact with friends and loved ones and always remembering their birthdays.
Cheryl is survived by children, Adam (Christa) Sherman, Jesse Sherman, Eric Bell; grandchildren, Caleb, Hailey, Christian, Hunter, Gunner, Jackson, Mallory, Oliver, Mikaela, Carissa, and Gabriel; brother, Daniel Billgren; in-laws, Jackie Billgren, Buddy Marquardt; nephew, Paul (Jackie) Nelson; former daughter-in-law, Carolyn; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Sherman; parents, Clair and Nora Billgren, siblings, Kathleen Ludwig, Michael Billgren; and nephew, Chadwick Billgren.
The family will receive visitors from 11-12 Noon on Saturday, June 14, 2025 with a service being held at 12 Noon at Pleasantview Free Methodist Church, 8643 Lapeer Rd, Mayville MI 48744. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service at the church.
