Roxanne Griffin, a native of Mobile, AL, resident of Raceland, LA and current resident of Houma, LA, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Raceland, on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 9 am until service time. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 am with burial to be held at a later date in Alabama.
Roxanne is survived by her mother Mary Jo Griffin; brother, Mark Griffin (Mary), sister, Terry Harwell (Wendell); niece, Veronica Harwell and aunt Virginia Griffin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Griffin and brother, Ronnie Griffin.
At 70 years old, our precious Roxanne has gone home to be with the Lord. Though she was born with special needs, her life was anything but limited—she was a reflection of God’s purest love. Her joy, innocence, and gentle spirit reminded us daily of Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
Roxanne’s life was a testimony that every soul is fearfully and wonderfully made. She taught us about unconditional love, patience, and the beauty of a childlike faith. Now, she rests fully whole in the arms of Jesus, surrounded by a glory we can only imagine. Though our hearts ache, we rejoice knowing she has been welcomed into everlasting peace, where there is no more pain, only joy in the presence of her Savior. Rest well, sweet Roxanne—you will forever be loved, and your light will continue to shine in our hearts.
