Roxanne Ruth Vercher was born January 14, 1966 in Monroe, Louisiana and she passed away on November 9, 2024 at HCA Houston Healthcare in Pearland, Texas. She is preceded in death by a son, Eric Vercher, her father, Thomas Ruth, a brother, Marty Ruth, and step-father, Huck Cowden.
Roxanne was blessed to be born into a large family and spent her youth around Bastrop and the Beekman community. She was a valued department manager with Wal-Mart in Pearland, Texas and a dog lover. Roxanne was a friend to many and with her infectious smile could brighten a room and make anyone feel accepted in her presence. She was a devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Roxanne was a friend to many and her love for her family is a legacy she will forever be remembered for.
She is survived by her son, Chaz Vercher and his wife Brie; her mother, Jewel Harris Ruth; five grandchildren, Bella Vercher, Natalia Vercher, Jerlynn Vercher, Danielle Vercher, Erica Vercher, and Ethan Vercher; daughter-in-law, Darci Vercher; a brother, Michael Ruth and his wife Tamara; nieces, Shayla Black and her husband Justin, Shauna Aulds, Emily Smith and her husband Matthew, and Haley Kelley; great-nieces and nephew, Jacelynn Black, Jaxon Black, Piper Black, and Makayla Aulds; and a host of aunts, uncles, and extended family.
A time of visitation for family and friends of Roxanne will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon on Friday, November 15th, at the chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop followed by funeral services celebrating her life at 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home with Bro. Doug Edwards officiating.
