Roxie Lannom Obituary
Roxie was a woman who truly lit up a room. Her smile was constant, her laughter infectious, and her energy seemingly endless. She lived life in motion-always on the go, always ready for the next adventure, and always eager to help someone along the way.
A devoted supporter of those in need, Roxie had a special place in her heart and in the late 1970s, she organized and hosted carnival fundraisers in the Glade for the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association pouring her time, creativity, and love into helping others.
Her love for children was especially evident through her church, where she delighted in making small necklaces and bracelets for each child, gifts crafted with care and given with joy. Those simple tokens reflected her big heart and her desire to make everyone feel special and loved.
Roxie was also known for her home and her hospitality. She made the most amazing banana pudding and chicken and dumplings-meals that brought people together and made everyone feel welcome. Her table, like her heart, was always open.
Roxie had a deep affection for animals of all kinds-her beloved chickens, dogs, cats, and any creature that happened to cross her path. She also cherished the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, finding peace and happiness in their splendor.
Above all, Roxie Rose Murphy Lannom will be remembered for her kind spirit, her generous heart, and the light she brought into the lives of others. Her example of love, service, and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening December 23, 2025 from 1-6 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. Bro. Robert Spickard to officiate the service. PARTLOW FUNERAL CHAPEL(615)444-7007 www.partlowchapel.com
