Services for Mr. Roy Wayne Alexander will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-Downtown with Bro. Leslie Aucoin officiating with Bro. Danny Bircham assisting. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Alexander, 81, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, at his residence.
After attending Mississippi State University, he began building a successful family business, Alexander Fabricating, where he and his wife were the owners and operators. He entered the Masons in 1979, where he had been a faithful member until his death. He received his York Right Masonary in 1980, joined the Hamasa Shrine Temple in 1984, and received his 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason in 1987. He was also a member of Glad Tidings Church, where he was tremendously faithful to his church and church family. He will be most remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who was endlessly devoted to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeralene Cato Alexander; sons, Michael Edward Alexander (Vanessa) and Ronald Wayne Alexander (Grace); grandchildren, Michael Lee Alexander (Sarah), Frances Marie Eaves (Bradley), and Rebecca Lynne Alexander; and four great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Alexander and Evie Alexander Reed; and brothers, Walker and Bobby Alexander.
Pallbearers will include Lynn Latham, Dewayne Nickols, Morris Griggs, Michael Lee Alexander, Richard Whitehead, Ervin Moony, Brian Long, and Allen Nickols. Honorary pallbearer will be Dennis Sherven.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
