Roy Alexander was born on December 10, 1947, in Longview, Texas, as the eldest son of Mack (Pete) Alexander Sr. and Jo Alexander. He passed away at age 78 on Tuesday, December 16,2025.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Alexander, with whom he shared a life since their marriage on September 1, 1967. Together, they devoted themselves to their only son, Bryan, of whom Roy was deeply proud. Roy’s grandchildren, Mackenzie and Brooklyn, brought him immense happiness and were the center of his joy.

Roy grew up in Levelland with six younger brothers. He graduated from Levelland high school in 1966. Roy earned a Master’s degree in Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University and taught psychology at Amarillo College. Throughout his career as a therapist and marriage and family counselor, he positively impacted many lives. Roy began his work at MHMR in Plainview, continued his career in Stephenville, and later served as assistant director of MHMR in Conroe. After Bryan graduated, Roy and his family returned to Levelland, where he opened a private practice. While living in Levelland, Roy was actively involved with the Rotary Club, Toastmasters, and served as an elder at Cactus Drive Church of Christ.

He is also survived by his son, Bryan Alexander and wife Mitzie, his grandchildren Mackenzie and Brooklyn, his brothers David Alexander, Danny Alexander and wife Sherri, Ronny Alexander and wife Suanne, John Alexander and wife Amy, Rick Alexander and wife Pam, sister-in-law Cindy Alexander, brother-in-law, R.H. Reaves and wife, Cindy as well as cherished nieces, and nephews.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Jo Alexander, and his brother Mack Alexander Jr.

Through all his trials and health issues, he always trusted God and praised him in every storm.

A Memorial Service will be held for Roy on Friday, December 19, at 3:00 p.m. at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland, TX

Memorial contributions may be made to the New Mexico Christian Children’s Home, where Roy served on the board.
