Roy Lynn Butler

Roy Lynn Butler, 55, passed away at home with his wife at his side on Saturday, October 11, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on December 19,1969, in Alexandria, VA, to George "Bulldog" Butler and Cheryl Butler.

Roy was a lifetime member of the Manassas Volunteer Fire Company. He graduated from Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville, VA. Roy was fun-loving and caring with a heart as big as a bear. He would talk to anyone like a friend. Roy was easy-going, generous, and always took the time to think of others. He was lighthearted, always making jokes with his friends and family. Roy took the time to remind those in his life not to stress the small stuff. Roy worked at Heavy Fleet Products. Roy enjoyed hunting, golfing, gambling, and spending time with family.

Roy is survived by his wife, Christina Butler; son, Eli Butler; daughter, Madison Butler; stepsons, Evan Fox and Mason Fox; mother, Cheryl Butler; brother, Dale and his wife Penny; niece, Lauren Starkes and her husband August, and their son Isaac; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, George Butler.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford. A service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, October 17, at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Stafford Memorial Park. A reception will be held after the burial from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
