Roy C. “Jack” Myers, age 96, of State Line, PA, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Waynesboro Hospital. Born May 2, 1928, in State Line, PA he was the son of the late Norman C. and Ruth Anna Brewer Myers.

Mr. Myers was a 1947 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School. He went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. Prior to his military service and immediately following his service, he worked for M. P. Moller in Hagerstown, MD for over 40 years, as a craftsman, retiring in 1993. Jack was a lifelong member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in State Line, where he was very active. He was also a Charter and Forever Member of the State Line Ruritan and a life member of the VFW in Greencastle. Jack enjoyed woodworking, gardening, volunteering at church and at the Ruritan Grounds; he and his best friend, Roy Bingaman could always be found working at the Ruritan grounds.

Surviving is his daughter, Rebecca A. Toms (Rev. John) of State Line, PA, a granddaughter, LaChylle Marie Toms (Alyssa) of Martinsburg, WV, “grandson” Kurtis Ray Benchoff of Greencastle and Caspurr the cat. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Hazel Marie Ward Myers in 2015 and a brother, Robert Myers. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 29 East Ave., State Line, PA, 17263, where Pastor Irene Pouliot will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church above. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 10 AM. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. The family requests the omission of flowers, and if desired memorial contributions may be in his name to the Trinity United Church of Christ Building Fund, P.O. Box 266 State Line, PA 17263.
