Roy Everett Carr, beloved husband, devoted father, and cherished friend, passed away at home surrounded by friends and family on July 2nd, 2024. He was 78 years old.
Roy was born on September 21, 1945 in Livingston, Montana, the son of Pauline and Everett Carr. From an early age, Roy exhibited deep bonds with God, family and a love for hunting and fishing. He graduated from Clyde Park High School in 1963. In 1966 he attended computer programming school in San Diego, CA., running a service bureau for many years. In 1989, Roy moved back to Bozeman, MT where he managed KIS Systems.
In 1991, Roy met the love of his life, Sandra Krumenacker Carr, and their bond was one of unwavering love and mutual respect. Together, they built a life centered around family values, love for fishing, nature and gardening. Roy was a pillar of strength for his family, always providing wise counsel without sugar coating. In 1999, Roy joined his cousin in running Bluebird Tree Service. This brought him back to what he truly loved.
Roy is survived by his wife Sandra of 32 years, and his children, Jeri(James) Plaster of Alaska and Damon(Gidget) Bower of Billings and his grandchildren Evan, Spencer(Nicole), Harper, Brooklyn, Brooke and Brandon. He is also survived by his brothers Ed and Art Carr. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Ellen and Irene Carr.
