Born in New Jersey and raised in Westfield, Roy was a proud graduate of Westfield High School's Class of 1963. He went on to build a long and dedicated career as an electrical engineer with Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
Roy was a man of faith and a lifelong parishioner of St. Helen's Roman Catholic Church in Westfield. Those who knew him remember him as a kind and thoughtful neighbor, a man of routine who enjoyed the simple comforts of community and familiarity. He also enjoyed many fishing trips with friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29th, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave., Westfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at St. Helen's R.C. Church, 1600 Rahway Ave., Westfield. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.

Ronnie and I were friends and fishing and hunting companions for over 50 years. Ronnie and I had a third buddy, David Romano, who fished and hunted with us frequently over those years. We fished and hunted in NJ, PA, NY, MA, MD and MT. David, who passed away a few years ago, used to call us the three amigos. Ronnie was and excellent fisherman, a great skeet shooter and a fine bird hunter. He was a very good bowler and a good golfer too. Ronnie was a kind fellow always willing to help a friend. He had an uncanny mechanical skill and could fix almost anything. We hoped to fish together again, but Ronnie's declining health made that impossible. I will miss him. I hope God finds the right fishing spot for Ronnie in heaven.
