Roy Andrew Faught, 87, of Atchison, KS, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Rev. Stephen Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Doniphan Cemetery, Doniphan, KS. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com. Roy was born on September 6, 1937, in Leavenworth, KS, the son of Andrew and Frieda (Rineholt) Faught. He attended Kickapoo and Easton Grade School. Roy was a laborer for over twenty years for F.P. Gehring and MGP. Roy was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church, the Lancaster Saddle Club. He enjoyed coon hunting, attending farm sales and mule riding, having went on a cross-country trail ride in Eminence MO for twenty-five years. Roy married Eleanor Ann Wagner on May 4, 1957, she survives of the home. He is also survived by a son Buzz Faught, Effingham, KS, a brother Eugene Faught Effingham, KS, three grandsons, Derek, Brian, Justin Faught, six great grandchildren, Nyla, Ronni, Ryker, Ben, Caleb and Wyatt. He was preceded by his parents, two sons, Lawrence Faught and Roy Andrew Faught, Jr., a brother John Faught, four sisters, Helen Rau, Penny Chase, Christine Rockey and Sue Bales.
