Roy D. Floyd, age 82 of Oshkosh passed away at Mercy Medical Center on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was born on December 24, 1943 to the late Lawrence and Bernice (Wilhelms) Floyd, one of nine children. Roy was united in marriage to Jo McHugh on December 1, 1972.
Roy worked as the head of the electrical department of Medalist Manufacturing. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Roy enjoyed spending countless hours at his cabin in Adams County. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or riding on his ATV, he found joy in every moment spent in nature. Roy had a knack for fixing just about anything, proudly embracing his title as a jack of all trades. He also loved sharing a cold beer and good laughs with his friends.
Roy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jo Floyd; children, Brian (Sally) Floyd, Wendy (Dan) Graham, Steven (Ann) McHugh, Terry (Dawn) McHugh and James (Sally) McHugh; He is further survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Per Roy’s wishes, cremation will occur and no formal services will be held.
