Roy anchored JBC TV coverage of hurricane Gilbert. He was on air for more than 12 hours. He also taught me meteorology at JMTI. RIP Roy

Was as a child about 7 year's old and saw this bald headed man and asked my aunt who is this man. She said that's Roy Forrester the man who gets the weather correct every time

My prayers are with his family and friends.
I remember him reading the weather report on TVJ in Jamaica and he did it very well. We will always remember him especially with this impending hurricane Beryl that is coming upon Jamaica today.

As a child growing up in Jamaica Roy Forrester was a part of the very fabric of Jamaican culture. His weather forecasting was epic. My parents watched JBC weather every night to know the daily and weekly forecasts. Rest in eternal peace Mr. Forrester.

Roy was one of the best communicators of weather information. He brought a more modern and vibrant presentation of the weather to Jamaica, inspiring many a young person to want to study meteorology. Interestingly, he is being laid to rest on a day when Jamaica is experiencing Hurricane Beryl. I can imagine how he would have been on-air explaining what to expect before the hurricane. May he rest in peace.
