Gladys Baker Knuth, age 88, of Dallas, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 31, 2025. Born on July 20, 1937, in Denver, Colorado. Gladys lived a life overflowing with faith, love, creativity, and devotion to the people she cherished.

Her love for Jesus Christ was the heartbeat of her life. She walked closely with Him every day and was a faithful member of Burnt Hickory Baptist Church, Powder Springs, Georgia, and previously a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Powder Springs. Before moving to Georgia, she was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Boynton Beach, Florida.

Second only to her love for Jesus was her love for her family. She was the best Grammie, lighting up with joy whenever she was surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent most of her years caring for those she loved deeply: her husband, her son, her mother, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gladys had a creative soul. She loved to craft, sew, make cards, and paint. Her happy place was the beach, having grown up in South Florida, where she would spend time walking the shore, collecting shells.

She is survived by her son, Kurt Arren Knuth, and daughter-in-law, Heather Ann Knuth.

She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren:

· Katlyn Marie Cofield, her husband Andrew Lee Cofield, and their children Savannah Leigh Cofield, Emma Kate Cofield, and Wyatt Lane Cofield

· Arren Lawrence Knuth, his wife Hannah Elisabeth Knuth, and their son Bryson Arren Knuth

She also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear life-long friends.

Gladys was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Warren Leroy Knuth.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 4pm at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia, where family and friends will gather to honor her life, share memories, and rejoice in the promise of eternal life.

If you are reading this, know that you were blessed—because she prayed for you and held you in her heart until its final beat.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, a ministry close to Gladys’s heart and a reflection of her lifelong generosity and love for children around the world. Give at Samaritanspurse.org
