McCreary County Funeral Home - Whitley CityRoy Patrick, age 78 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Sunday, November 2, 2025 at his home.
He was born in Honeybee, Kentucky on September 24, 1947 the son of the late Alfred and Oda Ethel (Vanover) Patrick. Roy has been a logger and was a member of the Pleasant Knob United Baptist Church. Rabbit hunting, UK Basketball, whittling, and his chickens were his favorite hobbies.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Carlus Vanover, Lawrence Patrick, Ledford Patrick, Clarence Patrick, and 4 infant brothers; and sisters, Elva Vanover, Sylvia Perry, and 1 infant sister.
Survivors include his wife Rosetta (Selvidge) Patrick of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; daughters, Natasha Perry (Doyle), Nicole Ridner (Matthew), and Mindy Patrick (Lane) all of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; brother, Vestle Patrick of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; sisters, Myrtle Coffey of Somerset, Kentucky and Lana Martin of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; grandchildren, Wyatt Perry, Cheyenna Perry, Devon Ridner, Lauren Ridner, Jordyn Ridner, Alissa Ridner, and Tristan Ridner; adopted daughter, Amanda Morrow; and special to his heart grandchildren, Brian, Lexie, Abby, Thomas, Maddie, Tackett, and Keegan.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at the Pleasant Knob United Baptist Church with Bro. Bob Goodin, Bro. Leroy Perry, and Bro Daniel Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Knob Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at the Church.
