ROY R. RES, 78, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:55 am, Sunday, December 28, 2025 at his residence.
He was born to the late Fred and Edna (nee Thompson) Res on November 3, 1947 in Chester, Illinois.
He had worked as a guard at Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Illinois for 32 years.
Roy enjoyed horses, fishing and spending time with his granddaughter Payton and his cat smokey. He was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion.
He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran and had received a Purple Heart and V for Valor commendations.
