Roy M. Westrich

Roy M. Westrich, age 84 of West Chicago, passed away on October 22, 2024. Roy was the beloved husband of the late Dianna; loving father of the late Jeffrey Westrich and Sally (Jason) Dorn; proud grandfather of Valerie and Melissa Westrich; cherished son of the late John and Lillian Westrich; dear brother of the late John, the late Evelyn and the late Delores; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Roy proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. He and his wife, Dianna, started the family business, Plant Parties by Dianna, which successfully expanded to Plant Rentals. In his younger years, Roy enjoyed playing chess and fishing. He was quite the story teller. Roy was a good dancer and gardener. He liked to collect antiques and currencies. Roy had an appreciation for good food and drink. Roy also loved animals and, more than anything, his family.
A Visitation for Roy will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church (30W350 Army Trail Road, Wayne) on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 10 AM until the time of Mass at 11 AM. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.
