Roy was born in Sevierville, Tennessee on September 1, 1945. Roy served in the United States Army. He retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company after 39 years.
Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything outdoors.
Preceded in death
His parents Wade George Whaley and Charlotte Nance Whaley, daughter, Linda Yearwood and sisters, Deanna Whaley and Judy Ogle.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Whaley of 59 years, children. Vickie Brewer, Michael Whaley, Sammy Whaley, Neil Whaley (Michelle); brother, Troy Whaley; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation memorial service will be in the chapel. Pastor Matt Hinesley will officiate. In lieu of flower contributions may be sent to Alzheimer's Association Southern Crescent District, 41 Perimeter Center E., Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346, https://www.alz.org/georgia/
