Rogelio “Roy” Ytuarte, Sr., age 75, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on November 12, 2024, in Hondo. Roy was born in Hondo, Texas, on October 31, 1949, to Elvira Cardenas and Eduardo Ytuarte.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents: Elvira Cardenas and Eduardo Ytuarte; brothers: Jose Louis Ytuarte, Sr., and Eugene Ytuarte; Grandparents: Jose Angel Ytuarte and Concepcion Ytuarte; and grandparent: Juanita Cardenas.
Roy is survived by his loving wife: Eleanor Ytuarte; sons: Christopher Aguirre; Roy Ytuarte, Jr. (Charlene Ramirez), and Dedrik Roy Ytuarte; daughters: Jessica Aguirre (Hondo Morin), and Alicia Marie Ytuarte; sisters: Thelma Deese (Jim), Erlinda Robles (Henry), Cruz Bermea, Maria Estella Pina (Joe), Elsa Cruz (Roy), and Connie Enriquez (Danny); brothers: Eduardo Ytuarte, Jr., David Ytuarte, Jerry Ytuarte, Sr., Armando Ytuarte (Lupe), Jose A. Ytuarte (Theresa), Jose Alfredo Ytuarte, Sr., and Raul Ytuarte (Sherri Jo); 14 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service with military honors and interment will be held at Ft. Sam National Cemetery, shelter #4, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 9:45 a.m.
