Roy Ziebart went to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on June 27, 2025, at the age of 97.
Born May 30, 1928, in West Salem, he was the 7th child and last surviving of 12 siblings born to Adam and Magdalena Ziebart. Roy married Barbara Blake in 1950 and had 47 years together before her passing in 1997. Together they had a family of 7 children growing up in Keizer. He then met and married the second love of his life, Judi Mason, in 2014. Roy was an exceptional framing carpenter known in the Salem area for his speed and accuracy in wood construction. He also built many homes in the Salem and Keizer area.
He was greeted in heaven by his parents, his 4 brothers and 7 sisters, and by his youngest son, Norman.
He is survived by his wife Judi, his children Charlene (Jeff) Walters, Joseph (Patti), Douglas (Mary), Edward (Laura), Ronald (Suanne) Joyce (Greg) Hadley and daughters-in-law, Tina Ziebart and Elaine Ziebart. He had 16 Grandchildren, 47 Great grandchildren and 1 Great-great grandchild.
A service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th, at 1:00 pm at St. Edwards Catholic Church, of which he was a founding member. A rosary will be at 12:30 pm, before the service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice in the name of Roy Ziebart. A special thanks goes to the staff at The Arbor at Avamere Court, in Keizer for their special care in his final time.
