Celebrating the life of Royal Lee Gant Sr., a man whose faith, craftsmanship, and unwavering support touched countless lives. Born on October 18, 1952, to Tom and Edna Gant in Eads, TN, raised in Memphis. Roy as his family affectionally called him, moved to Kansas City at the age of 11. After completing his education, including his service in the U.S. Army, he earned a degree in Business Administration from Kansas City KS Community College.
Royal's hands were skilled, and his heart was in craftsmanship. He established Royals Remodeling Co. in the early 90s, becoming a master carpenter known for his ability to remodel, renovate, and create. He was a constant source of support for those in need of help with their home projects being just a phone call away. He found joy in transforming spaces and creating something new.
His faith journey led him to Roswell Church of Christ, introduced by his cherished friend, Albert Crawford. Royal's commitment to the church was unwavering; he was a dependable and hardworking member, deeply involved in the Building/Grounds and Transportation ministries. His life was further enriched when he met his beloved wife, Selena, at the church. Their shared dedication to the church was a cornerstone of their life together, often seen working side-by-side.
