Royal Spurger Obituary
Douglas was born on April 11, 1964, in Mesquite, Texas to the late Alan Westenhoffer and Audrey Faye Lawson-Westenhoffer. Douglas married Canace Nelson on December 22, 2002, in Brown County, Texas. Douglas was a truck driver for many years, when he was not driving, he enjoyed remodeling homes in his spare time. Douglas quit driving to become his wife's full-time caretaker when her health began to fail her.
Douglas was preceded in death in by his parents.
Douglas is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Candace Spurger; son, Billy McKenzi; 3 daughters, Ashley Ware; Jessica Tommee; Misty Nelson; 10 grandchildren, Olivia, Amelia, Judd, Abigail, Cooper, McKenzi, Avis, Caden, Camren, and Chase; sister, Delora Spurger.
