Royce Clinton Lewis Jr.

Royce Clinton Lewis, Jr., age 54, courageously battled colon cancer residing in New Castle, Delaware with his beloved wife Landra and son Royce. The son of Bernice and Royce C. Lewis, Sr. who affectionately called him "Rusty" departed this life, July 21, 2024. He started his faith journey at Zion Apostolic Faith Church.
Royce was a 1987 graduate of Buchtel High School. His dream was to see as much of the world as he could. He started that journey when he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed overseas at RAF Alconbury, England and Hellenikon, Greece. He returned to the United States to finish his military career in New Jersey and to attend Rutgers University where he became a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He transferred to the University of Maryland at College Park where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He successfully completed all coursework requirements to be a recognized expert in the commercial and investments real estate industry (CCIM).
He continued his faith journey by becoming a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington DC by way of Christian experience. This is where he met and married his wife Landra of 24 years. He became a bonus father to KeiOndra Anderson and soon thereafter a proud father to his son, Royce C. Lewis III. Royce spent the last 25 years working in commercial real estate and during that time becoming Vice President of asset management at Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing. After working in several different states he decided he wanted to visit as many states as he could. Royce was able to visit 45 states in the United States and many Caribbean Islands. He loved meeting new people wherever he went. Memorial Day was a special time for him. Royce looked forward to opening up our home to have an annual Family and Friends Barbecue. He enjoyed mentoring and wanted to create economic empowerment programs for children to encourage them for greatness. Many of the young adults preferred calling him "Unc" which speaks volumes to who he was as a caring person. He founded The ROYCE Cares Foundation in hopes of helping others.
