Royce Yarber Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Meadors Funeral Home - Republic Chapel on Dec. 31, 2025.
Royce Yarber, of Republic, MO, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 22, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on April 26, 1951, in Springfield, MO, to Carl and Eunice (Adams) Yarber and was the second born of five children in the home.
Royce graduated from Mt. View high school with the class of 1969. He went on to attend MSU and then UMKC class of 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Royce worked as an engineer and manager for Angelica Image Apparel, the IRS and then TSA from which he retired from federal service. Royce was blessed with three children Scott, Jamie, and Misty. Royce was an amazing father, and an amazing man. Royce had a great sense of humor and was very intelligent. He also enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, hunting and growing a vegetable garden to feed his family. Spending time in nature gave Royce the opportunity to take in the awesomeness of God's creations. Royce was a man of immense, unwavering faith. Even when he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, Royce remained faithful and when he knew his health would not allow him much time, Royce welcomed death, because he knew he was going home to be with the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Dennis Yarber and sister Lisa Schultz.
Royce is survived by his children Scott Yarber and wife Gena, Jamie Yarber and wife Bethany, and Misty Hilgert and husband Mike, 3 step-children Patti Baker (and children), Marlon Berry (and children), Robbie (Debbie) (and children) Berry, grandchildren Seth (Cari) Yarber, Shelby (Jay) Vega, Alex (Chelsea) Zwicky, Kendra (Codie) Zwicky, Tyler Yarber and Tristan Goodfellow and great grandchildren Ariana, River, and Memphis Vega, and Hunter Zwicky, two brothers Glenn (Connie) Yarber and Andy (Yarber) as well as other extended family and friends.
As per Royce's request, he will be cremated and a celebration of his homegoing will be held at a later date.
