With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Rozanne Diaz, a cherished mother, grandmother and devoted friend, and inspiration to all who knew her. Rozanne's journey through life was marked by generosity, resilience, and a deep devotion to her family and friends. She was born January 26th, 1960, in Farmington New Mexico to her parents Jose Montoya and Celia Montoya. She is one of ten children. She went home to Lord on July 20th, 2025, surrounded by family in her home.
Rozanne graduated from Farmington High School. She then completed two years of Peace Corp Service in Albuquerque New Mexico. This is where she met the love of her life, Luis Carlos Diaz. Over the years she has made her home in Farmington, New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico Denver, Colorado, Pontiac, Michigan, Phoenix, Arizona, Glendale, Arizona, Duncanville, Texas, Arlington, Texas and Fort Worth Texas. She spent many summers in San Francisco de Conchos in Chihuahua Mexico.
Rozanne was known for her warm smile and open heart, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear to anyone. Her kindness radiated in every interaction, whether she was comforting a friend, offering wise counsel, or sharing a moment of laughter with loved ones. She believed in the power of compassion and lived her days embodying this belief.
Rozanne filled her home with music, cooking, and the joyful sounds of family gatherings. She took special pride in her role as a mother, guiding her children with unwavering love, gentle strength, and thoughtful encouragement. Her wisdom and grace shaped the lives of those around her, and her legacy endures in the values she instilled and the memories she created.
Rozanne's courage in the face of life's challenges was matched only by her boundless generosity. She gave freely of her time and energy, offering support to friends and neighbors alike. Her strength allowed her to overcome many health scares over the years and allowed her to fight until she went home.
She is survived by her children from Fort Worth Texas Jose Ramon Diaz, Maria Celia Luster, and Darla Monreau from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Rozanne is survived by her grandchildren Zaviera Dawson, Mercy Hill, Joshua Wright, Ariel Wright, Elijah Wright from Fort Worth Texas, Kerel Hill from Pontiac Michigan, Dwayne Luster from Abilene Texas, Mya Luster and Xavier Luster from Duncanville Texas. She is survived by her sons-in-law from Fort Worth Texas William Diaz and Dwayne Luster. Rozanne was preceded in death by her late husband Luis Carlos Diaz and her recent late boyfriend Jose Manuel Gaytan Pasillas.
She is home with family and friends that have gone before. Though Rozanne has departed from this world, her love continues to shine in the lives she touched and the bonds she nurtured.
A celebration of Rozanne Diaz's life will be held at Crouch Event Center at 900 E. Glendale St. Crowley, TX 76036 August 10th, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM where all who knew and loved her are invited to join in remembrance and gratitude for her remarkable life. A second Celebration of life and burial of the urn will take place in New Mexico. Celebration of Life will be on August 16th, 2025, in Farmington New Mexico 5010 Monteagle Dr in Farmington NM at noon. Her urn will be laid to rest August 18th, 2025, at Greenlawn Cemetery 1606 N Dustin Ave Farmington NM.
Rozanne Diaz will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered-her light remains, guiding and comforting those she leaves behind.
