Ruben Basaldu, 61 of Tulia, Texas, passed away July 30, 2025 in Schulenburg, Texas. He was born on December 11, 1963 to Uvaldo and Carolina Basaldua.
Ruben worked mostly in construction throughout his life. He was a very loving person and a wonderful brother to all his siblings. He was one of seven children and was endearingly called “Rabbit” by his brothers and sisters. Ruben especially enjoyed taking road trips with his brother, Gilbert. Ruben was very kind and got along with everyone. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Ruben is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Gilbert and Martha Basaldua, children, Ruben and Justin Basaldua along with cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Norma, Uvaldo, Jr. and James Basaldua.
Memorial donations can be made to the family for unexpected funeral home expenses.
