Ruben Hernandez Jr.

Ruben Hernandez, Jr. was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 25, 1966, and went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2025, at the age of 59. Ruben enjoyed watching his Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs but most of all loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Ruben Hernandez and Mary Lou Torres, and daughter Alyssa Leann Hernandez. Survivors include his loving children Melissa Hernandez (Mari), Julianna Hernandez, Ruben Hernandez, III, and Ruben J. Hernandez, siblings Estella H. Gomez (Oscar), Ruben Pena (Tanya), Hector Torres (Jessica), Marco A. Torres, beloved grandchildren Zayden, Zariah, Ruben, and Nathan, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Visitation will begin on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Palm Heights Mortuary. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Fernando II.
