Rubenia Consuelo Ramirez, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, in Killeen, Texas. Born on December 19, 1949, in Gualan Zacapa, Guatemala, Rubenia's life was a tapestry of love, hard work, and unwavering faith. Rubenia was born to José Maria Ramirez and Beatriz Olimpia Pineda Ramirez, who instilled in her the values of family and perseverance. Though she was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Luis Alberto and Edvin Osvaldo Ramirez Pineda, she carried their memory in the kindness and resilience that marked her days. As a skilled seamstress, Rubenia wove her passion and creativity into every stitch, connecting threads of her profession with her involvement in the Christian community. Her loving spirit was evident in the beautiful clothing she crafted and her generosity within her faith and local circles. Rubenia's culinary talents, particularly her famous Guatemalan tamales, were legendary among friends and family. She generously shared her creations, believing that food was not merely sustenance, but a way to nurture the soul and gather people together. This love for cooking was part of her broader entrepreneurial spirit-one that saw her dream big and turn those dreams into reality for her loved ones. She imagined a homestead in her native Guatemala, a dream rooted in family unity and the hope of giving her children a place to return to whenever they longed for their origins. This vision reflected the depth of her love for her family, the constant center of her life. Rubenia's legacy is cherished by her surviving sisters Rubia, Nivia, and Lidia Ramirez Pineda; by her sons Elser Leon, Jeffery Castillo, and Eric E. Ramirez; and by her daughters Iris Pazos and Stacey Castillo. She was the proud grandmother of Kimberly, Jessica, and Jose M. Ramirez; Perla and Crystal Leon; Alvin Villeda, Erick A, Elmer Jr, and Kevin Cabrera. Her joy was multiplied as a great-grandmother to Sophie and Marcelo Cabrera, Camila Bell, Grace, Alexa, and Daisy Villeda. Described as loving, generous, and thoughtful, Rubenia will be remembered for the embrace of her love that extended far beyond her immediate family. Her unwavering strength, coupled with her kindness and consideration for others, will remain as a beacon of inspiration for everyone whose lives she touched. Rubenia's departure leaves behind a void that will be felt by many, but the memories of her spirit and the warmth of her presence will continue to shine brightly. As she takes her place in eternity, we celebrate a life well-lived-a life that exemplified love in action and the beauty of a generous heart. Though she will be greatly missed, her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and in the hearts that cherish her memory.
