George Garvey

George Garvey, a Vietnam War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, passed on October 28, 2025 in Harker Heights, Texas at the Age of 76. George was born in Buffalo, New York on January 29, 1949 to George Garvey Sr and Gertrude (Sisson). After graduating Kenmore West High School, he enlisted and served two years in the US Army and 13 years in the reserves. On August 28, 1970, he married Sharon Spence in Tonawanda, New York. On October 29, 1973 and November 11, 1975 respectively, he welcomed two beautiful girls, Gwenn and Audra. He was preceeded in death by his parents, George Senior and Elaine (Gertrude), and his sister Saundra Beutler. He was survived by his wife of 55 years Sharon,his daughters Gwenn (Brandon)Rochelle and Audra (Pete)Thibodeaux, four grandchildren (Justin, Jeremy, Miranda, and Garrett), and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Judes would be welcome. At this time, no services are planned.
