­­­­­­­­­­­Ruby Back was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky, March 2, 1923, the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel (Berry) Allen. She departed this walk of life Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Mountain Ridge Nursing and Rehab reaching the age of 102 years.

On November 18, 1952, she was united in marriage to Kash Back, who preceded her in death. To this 66-year union two sons survive: Wilbert Rowe (Doris) and Dennis Back (Joan).

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Heather Back, Cari Parker (Steven), Jennifer Martin (John), Aimee Elkinton (Benjamin), Dana Denton Boyer, Willy Jon Denton, James Back (Andrea) and Christina Kaminski (Nickolas). She is also survived by two daughters-in-law: Ellen Back and Patricia Spelski. Along with a host of family and friends that mourn her passing

In addition to her parents, Charles and Ethel Allen, she was proceeded in death by three children: Ray Back, James Rowe and Barbara Back and one grandchild: Alex Rowe.

Ruby was a devoted homemaker and a member of Green Hill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Ruby is together again with her true love, Kash Back.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 12 PM – 2 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parmley's Grove Cemetery.
