Ruby Nell Davidson Edmonds was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on February 16, 1944, to the late William Maxey Jewell and Hallie Marshall. She attended High Street High School and subsequently earned her GED. Ruby dedicated over 25 years of service to Big Lots, where she took pride in assisting numerous patrons. Among Ruby's many interests were playing scratch-off tickets, engaging in bingo, solving puzzle books, coloring, Bid-Wiz, and watching Family Feud with Steve Harvey. Above all, Ruby cherished preparing meals for her family and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
On October 25, 2025, at the age of 81, Ruby joined her predeceased loved ones: husband Bill Clayton; her parents; a grandson, Wayne; sister, Alberta Herdon; and brother, William Jewell.
The life and legacy of Ruby Nell Davidson Edmonds will forever be carried on by her children, Quentin (Alisha) Edmonds, Tawanna Smith and Tamekia Davidson; her grandchildren, Sally, Lastameon, Leeautrick, Jordan, Cordavious, Xzavier, Shyne, Lochlynn, Khaleah, Laileeonna, Tillis, Layla, Leeleah and Sequel; great grandchildren, Ka'Layjah, Ty'Nelius, Ta'Nyjah, Jai'Veyn, Montez, Leeautrick, Jr., Zipporah, Ki'Yeir, Carson,Kamari, Iy'Meiri, Kashton, and Khisyn; great great grandchildren, Enzo, Monesti and Jesiah; sister Pasty (Rufus) Hines; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
