Ruby Lorene Heseman

Ruby Lorene (Hoover) Heseman, 91, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Envive Healthcare of Evansville.
Ruby was born in Mt. Vernon, Indiana on December 30, 1931 to the late Steve and Esther (Bradley) Hoover. She graduated from F.J. Reitz High School in 1949. After staying home to raise her children, Ruby worked for Frozen Food Sales and later for the University of Evansville. She retired from U of E after 18 years. In her free time, Ruby enjoyed camping and golfing, and was an excellent seamstress and cook. She was a lifetime member of Blue Grass Church. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren after school and loved going to their sporting events. Ruby will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
Ruby is survived by her daughters, Paula Jean Baumgart (John) of Evansville, IN and Lee Ann Williams (Joe) of Evansville, IN; son, Steven P. Heseman (Jill) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Doris Allen and Sue Menke (Ron); grandchildren, Nick Baumgart, Kate Rotramel (Patrick), Kelly Winzinger (Scott), Abby Merritt, Emily Preze (Andy), Andrew Williams (Valerie), and Ryan Williams (Michelle); eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Loren Paul Heseman; her parents; sister, Joyce McCutchan; and brother-in-laws, Ross McCutchan and Henry Allen.
A celebration of Ruby's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Blue Grass Church, 14240 Petersburg Rd., Evansville, IN 47725 with Pastor Ben Lovell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday at Blue Grass Church.
