Robert Paul Woolston, 81, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Linda E. White Hospice House.
Bob was born on March 5, 1944, in Evansville to the late Paul C. and Iva Alberta (Wisley) Woolston. Bob was raised in Wadesville and attended North Posey High School before graduating from FJ Reitz High School in 1962. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Carpenter's Local 90. Bob was a stubborn man with a kind heart. In his younger years, he enjoyed traveling to the Indy 500; he was a math whiz, a history buff and enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments. Bob loved train simulators and animals, especially his dog, Peanut.
Surviving Bob are his wife of 50 years, Dinkie (Webster) Woolston; daughters, Rhonda (Mike) Metz and Monica (Joshua) Wilson, and granddaughters, Kelcie, Tabitha and Jessa Woolston and Emily Derry.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah Woolston; father-in-law, Robert Webster and nephew, Robbie Lutz.
According to Bob's wishes there will not be a public visitation or funeral service. Pierre Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Donations may be made to Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, Evansville, IN 47712, to help cover final expenses.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Deaconess ICU 3900 for all of their care and compassion, especially Krislynn and Jailyn.

Sorry to hear of Bobs passing. Ben a while since we´ve seen each other. I have run into him a couple of times to say hi and talk a little. I remember the many hours we used to play with those slot cars. I know he will be missed. You both are great friends. We will be praying for you all. May God comfort you in this time of sorrow.
