Ruby Elce House

Funeral services for Ruby House, 80, of Claremore will be held on Monday, March 14 at 10:00 am at the Graham Memorial Cemetery Outdoor Pavilion at Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor. Burial will take place at Red Hill Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas at 3:30 PM later that afternoon. Book signing and viewing will be held on Friday, March 11 from 9 am to 5 pm at the funeral home. Services are under the care and direction of Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care in Pryor.
Ruby Elce House was born on Sept 21, 1941 at home in Salina, Oklahoma to Troy Pace and Mary (Harmon) Patton. She went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2022. She grew up in Salina and graduated from Salina High School. She had spoken about how proud she was when she received her diploma. She worked as a waitress when she was a teenager. She later moved to Pryor and began working at Greers where she met her husband Dean. They were married on August 20, 1961 and just had their 60th anniversary shortly before his passing last year.
She quit her job once her children were born because it was important to her to be able to be at home for her children when they were growing up.
She loved to travel with her family. They traveled through most of the United States. Her favorite was taking drives through the scenic backroads of Arkansas and Missouri. She enjoyed walks in nature and taking her children camping when they were growing up. She also liked doing word search puzzles, watching Antiques Roadshow, and American Pickers.
It was important for her that her children were raised to have good values and to know God. Even though she spent the last few months of her life ill in the hospital, her faith never wavered and she was comforted in knowing she would soon be with God.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jeanette Waters and husband Raymond and Christina House, both of Claremore; one granddaughter, Brittany Todd and husband Jeremiah; one brother, Roy Patton of Adair; three sisters, Ruth Wagner and husband Jimmy of Pryor, Irene Cotrell and husband Leon of Pryor and Patricia Ball and husband Reggie of Muskogee as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other special family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dean House in October of 2021; her toddler brother, Lloyd Patton and brother Larry Patton.
