Ruby (Gilley) Hunt, age 68, of Big Prairie, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.
Per her wishes there will be no services held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ohio Bird Sanctuary 3774 Orweiler Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44903.
Ruby was born November 28, 1956 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of Jack and Sue (Petry) Gilley. She married the love of her life, Jonathan B. Hunt, and he survives.
Ruby was a graduate of Waynedale High School. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Ruby was a past member of the Holmesville Church of Christ. Her favorite place to be was sitting on her porch, watching the birds and the groundhogs. She was a lover of all animals, especially cats. She enjoyed being outdoors and loved watching the trees change colors. Autumn was her favorite time of year. Surviving in addition to her husband, Jonathan are two children: daughter, Tabatha (Heath Maurer) of Massillon, Ohio son, Shane Snoddy of Wooster; beloved grandson, Dylan; granddaughter, Kayge; two grandsons: Blake and Jace; grandma's little sweetheart, her great granddaughter, Sya; siblings: Johnny Gilley (Stacy) of Killbuck, Peggy Reeves of North Carolina, Vicky Swartzentruber (Dave) of Holmesville and a special sister at heart, Diane Gilley of Holmesville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Jason Gilley and Jack "Jigger" Gilley Jr.
