Ruby Faye (Bittle) Jeffries, 80, of Eldon, died August 6, 2025 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She was born April 24, 1945 in Cole County; daughter of Archie and Mildred (Bond) Bittle. She grew up in Eugene, Missouri and graduated in 1963. She was united in marriage to Joseph Glen Jeffries on December 1, 1963.

Ruby is survived by her husband Joe, son Robert (Tina) Jeffries, daughter Tammy (Steve) Byrd; grandchildren Amber (Jeff) Hill, Jordan (Lindsey) Byrd, Virginia Jeffries and ten great-grandchildren.

Ruby was proceeded in death by her parents, five brothers (Wayne, Kenneth, Wendell, Sam, Don), one sister Pauline (Bittle) Jenkins, and one grandson Remington Alexander Jeffries.

Ruby was a member of the Olean Christian Church. She was employed as a secretary for Eldon South Elementary School for seventeen years and then for the Board of Probation and Parole in Jefferson City, MO until her retirement.

There will be a Visitation Memorial on Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Ninth Street Christian Church in the Family Life Center.

Memorials in her name are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
