Ruby Delores Jewett was born September 26, 1936 in Winnipeg, Missouri to her parents, Enos and Wilma Murrell Dawson. She passed away suddenly on Sunday night, September 21, 2025, in her home located east of Lebanon, Missouri. She was just days away from her eighty-ninth birthday. Ruby was raised on a farm in Iowa. She enjoyed the country life and helped in all areas on the farm, from the animals to the garden. Ruby was blessed to have the opportunity to stay home and raise her children. In 2008 she was united in marriage to Robert Jewett. He passed away December 31, 2010. She is survived by her children, Oscar Meyer and his wife Sandy of Minden, Iowa, Linda Reed and her husband Greg of Camdenton, Missouri, Gary Johnson and his wife Robin of Linn, Missouri, Ronnie Johnson of Linn, Missouri, and Mike Johnson and his wife Kandy of Wooldridge, Missouri; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; her brother, Wayne Dawson of Crescent, Iowa; her sister, Sharon Brown and her husband Loren of Oakland, Iowa; and other relatives and friends. Ruby was an active member for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was proud to have been ordained in the Temple. Ruby enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She found joy in gardening and doing handicrafts. She stayed busy and always had a project going on. She also loved researching genealogy and had learned so much about her family. Ruby loved her family very much and looked forward to large family gatherings to celebrate special occasions. We celebrate her life, a life well lived, and know her family and friends will treasure and appreciate the memories they made with her. A memorial to "The Free Store" has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home. Service for Ruby Jewett will be private.
