Ruby Mae Justus

RUBY MAE (HURLEY) JUSTUS, 87 years of age of the Race Fork section of Hurley, VA, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at her home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late John and Vicey (Griffy) Hurley. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Church of Christ faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker. Ruby was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Edward Justus; Sister: Omie Baker and Brother: John Jr. Hurley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Darlis Justice, Freddie Justus, Helene (Wayne) Clevinger, Margaret Ann Justus and Sabrena Justus (Dolphie Hurley), all of Hurley, VA; 7-Grandchildren, 15-Great-Grandchildren and 2-Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Little Prater Church of Christ Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
Graveside Services for RUBY MAE (HURLEY) JUSTUS will be conducted Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA, with Pastor Mike Rife officiating with burial to follow.
Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the family's expenses.
