Mrs. Ruby Mae Marr, formerly of Charleston, TN passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 in Dawson, Alabama. She was 94 years old.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Poole Funeral Home of Cleveland Chapel with Brother Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens with Poole Funeral Home directing. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday. 

Mrs. Marr was born July 22, 1930 in Fyffe, Alabama to the late Johnny Burton and Bertha Moses Martin. Mrs. Marr worked for more than 15 years at American Uniform in Cleveland. Mrs. Marr was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church and she loved her church and her Lord. 

Mrs. Marr was preceded in death by her parents, also five brothers, one sister, her husband Alvin “Speedy” Marr in 2011 and her daughter Mary Sue Lee in 2021.

Survivors include her son, Johnny Hoyt Goodman; one sister, Willie B. Gentry; grandchildren, Johnny Ray Goodman (Kristi), Tommy Goodman (Valerie), Tammy Richards (Quim), Robin Blackburn (John), Curtis Lee (Elizabeth); great grandchildren, Aaron Goodman, Jake Goodman, Hannah Sims, Joshua Blackburn, Dalton Garner, Jarrett Blackburn, Gavin Goodman, Zeke Goodman, Cameron Lee, Sean Lee, Emily Lee, Dawson Lee, Ryan Lee, and Addie Lee; Great-Great Grandchildren, Addilyn Sims, Ashlynn Sims, Paisley Lee, and Lana Lewis; several nieces and nephews.
