Ruby Olds Colin of Republic, Mo passed from this life into her eternal home on May 16, 2025. She was born to Lee and Lillie (Stout) Olds of Commerce, OK on August 12th, 1943. In June of 1955 she received Jesus Christ as her Savior, who was the foundation on which she lived her life. Her fondest love was volunteering at her church: James River Church in Ozark, Mo.
She graduated from the former Pitcher Oklahoma High School in 1961. She married Howard Colin of Scales Mound, IL on June 2nd, 1962. They lived in Illinois for the next 42 years where she worked nearly 25 years for Kraft Foods as a Lab Tech. After the plant closed, she worked at Sign craft Screen printing for 10 years.
On retirement they moved to Southern Missouri and except for the 3 years they lived in Grand Junction, Colorado that is where they made their home. She is survived by their children: Brian Colin, Robert Colin, David Colin, Gidget Colin Harmon; their many grandchildren and great grandchildren; Sisters: Billie Ann (Kenneth), and Rita; Brother: Larry Olds. A very special niece Tina Drake and her husband Skipper and their children. Sister-in-law Barbara Hoppe and Marjorie Morhardt and brother-in-law Larry Colin. Many nieces and nephews that were very dear to her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Minnie Lou Brown, and Ellen Williams, her brothers Sam Duffield and Butch Duffield, daughter in law Donna Colin, and her beloved husband Howard Colin who passed away October 24, 2021.
She is to be laid to rest in the Veterans Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Mo on June 18, 2025 at 1 pm. Klinger-Cope in charge of arrangements.
