Ruby Quist

Ruby Quist, age 80, of Millington, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 4PM at Sharp Funeral Home, 209 East Broad Street in Linden. Visitation will be held on Tuesday starting at 2PM until the time of the service at Sharp Funeral Home in Linden. Inurnment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Linden. Ruby was born on May 2, 1942 in Herington, Kansas to the late Adolf (Patrosina) Escobar and Patrosina (Olonza) Escobar. She graduated from Herington High School. Ruby was employed with General Motors for over 30 years. Ruby was an elegant woman who always put her best face forward. She was a kind person who influenced all of the lives that she touched with sage council. She brought people together with her hospitality and her food. She taught everyone something, both old and young alike.

She is survived by her two children, Travis (Lita) Quist and Danita Horcha; her 6 grandchildren, Rebecca (Garrett) Peltzer, Andrew Horcha, Adrianna Horcha, Cameron Horcha, Henrik Quist and Gretchen Quist; her sister, Connie Huerta; former husband, Kenneth Quist. Ruby is further survived by many other dear family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 6 siblings.
