Mrs. Ruby Nell Richmond-Lunsford

Ruby Nell Richmond-Lunsford passed away from this life and into the arms of Jesus on January 16, 2024, at the age of 89, in Mena, Arkansas. She was born July 21, 1934, in Nella, Arkansas, to the late Edgar E. Richmond and the late Lula Leamon-Richmond.
She was married to the late Ulysses Lunsford. Ruby was a devout Christian and was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Mena where she loved attending the senior adult Sunday school class in her later years. Ruby graduated from Acorn high school and she started working at the Union Bank of Mena in 1953. She continued working at the Union Bank until she retired 50 years later. Ruby had many fond memories of the years she worked at the Union Bank and had made many lifelong friends. She was a long-time resident of Mena and was known and loved by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Lunsford; sister, Helen Thomas; brother, Edsel Eugene (Gene) Richmond; nephews, Delbert Wayne Thomas and wife Kathryn, and Randy Richmond. She is survived by her nephew, Garland Thomas and wife Linda, nephew, Duane Richmond and wife Cindy, and special great-nephew, Delbert Wayne Thomas Jr., and many other nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
Services for Mrs. Ruby Nell Richmond-Lunsford will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Mena, Arkansas. Brother Jim Tennery will be officiating under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Pinecrest Memorial Park in Mena. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
