Ruby was born on July 13, 1933, in the Town of Maple Creek, WI and passed away on June 12, 2024 in New London, WI. She was the youngest daughter of George and Lenora (Gerks) Pribbernow.
Ruby was baptized on August 20, 1933, and confirmed on May 18, 1947, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Maple Creek, WI, where she grew up on the family farm.
She attended grade school at Golden Hill School, Maple Creek, graduated from Emanuel Lutheran School, New London in 1946, and from Washington High School in New London in 1950.
After graduation, she held a civil service position in Madison and Oshkosh, WI before returning to New London where she was an employee at Werner Law Offices for nearly 70 years.
On April 26, 1952, she was married to Donald Schroeder at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Maple Creek. Don preceded her in death on November 16, 1976. Don and Ruby co-owned the Lamplighter Restaurant in New London from 1974 until 1977 when it was sold to her sister and niece after Don's death.
Ruby enjoyed many winter vacations in Florida with family. She enjoyed decorating for Christmas, baking Christmas cookies, Sudoku puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and collecting Hallmark ornaments and other collectibles.
She is survived by her daughters: Andrea Baumann and Julie Schroeder; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other cherished relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son-in-law, David Baumann; sisters and brothers-in-law: Arline and Kenneth Sweedy, Lorene and Arthur Kusserow and Grace and Herman Jennerjohn.
Due to construction being done at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London where Ruby was a member, her Christian Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville, WI (752 E Grand View Rd) at 11:30 am with Rev. William Heiges officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. A visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 9:30 am to 11:15 am.
Memorials may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London.
Ruby was a loving wife, mother, friend, and loyal worker who will be sadly missed.
